Shruti Kulkarni, MPH serves as an adjunct assistant professor at UMGC. She is a distinguished clinical nutritionist, certified diabetes counsellor, and research scientist with 17 years of expertise in health and nutrition.
Kulkarni holds advanced degrees in food and nutrition science, diabetes management, sports science, and public health and is currently pursuing a doctorate focused on enhancing elderly functional abilities through family and lifestyle interventions. Based in Germany, she specializes in managing eating and metabolic disorders across all life stages—from fertility and pregnancy to childhood, adolescence, and elderly care. She also has expertise in sports nutrition for athletes.
Alongside her clinical practice in Germany, Kulkarni serves as product and research head at an award-winning Indian startup, pioneering the integration of Ayurveda with Precision Nutrition through AI-driven dietary solutions and predictive health technologies. Her contributions span the complementary sciences of nutrition and public health and include work on India's first non-invasive tech-based preventive health systems. She mentors students and military professionals at UMGC’s European division, promoting holistic and sustainable dietary practices as a foundation for a healthier way of living.
